So the classrooms here don't have clocks.
I think it's beautiful when you can sit down, completely mesmerized and lose track of time.
Become enthralled in the information, feeding on the knowledge that your about to obtain.
That's happened in Calculus. I lost track of time.
It's like it didn't exist.
Public affairs was nice, too.
I lost my room key.
Yea, first week. I'm so intelligent.
The public affairs professor asked what was the best thing about American Politics.
This girl (who said before "I hate France. John Kerry should go to France.) said, "That it exists. We ALL have a voice."
Um ok. We ALL have a voice. My favorite example that wholly contradicts that statement. GITLOW VS. NEW YORK, Fool. A socialist was arrested merely for voicing his opinion about a communist-like manifesto. We ALL have freedom of speech. We all matter. Because if that was so, people like YOU wouldn't tell me to find my own country just because I'm a Jew. So go choke on your damn freedom of speech and everyone having a voice because you must honestly be delusional if you believe that. Besides, there are so many hate crimes. And, gays are hated in so many places because of sexual preferences and we want to stifle their voice.
We're supposed to read the New York Times for my public affairs class, too. So this same girl says, "Why can't we read something not biased like the Wallstreet Journal?"

We eat the lies fed to us with fervor.
We are starved and the thin line between the truth and lies
Has been eroded away beautifully.
It does not concern us.
We are safely hidden behind our SUVS,
Our expensive clothing and fancy houses.
We pray to a G-d that will protect us under A N Y circumstances.
Our G-d is the strongest in existence.
We are loyal.
We love our G-d with everything within us.
Our G-d will save us.
Yet, the American dollar is losing strength.
We cannot acknowledge such a tragic calamity as remotely true.
Our culture is too powerful and we must put our faith behind it.
Our lovers are strangers,
But we are bonded by a common love for our G-d.
Our beliefs justify our mistakes.
When we come home to a cold bedroom,
Into a relationship complicated by hatred,
We excuse our pitiful existences,
Not as meaningless.
So we make another extravagant purchase
To fill the emptiness.
Then we reproduce.
It is our duty,
Not to Big Brother,
But to a far more potent and daunting enemy leader (politician, religion, G-d, tyrant)
We sacrifice our lives to the television.
The propaganda is spoon fed to us.
We are the children, a generation of …
Drones.
We are given Zoloft to forget our misery,
And vitiate reality.
It is just a myth, anyway.
We bury ourselves,
Consuming,
As truth becomes more and more diluted.
We follow a monster,
Justify his mistakes,
Justify war in the name of peace.
But stare apathetically at headlines of
Torture and human rights violations.
Such stories hardly catch our attention.
We desire drama,
And need more than anything to not think.
It is such a hassle and we prefer to be nothing.
We live in a pseudo democracy,
Less individualistic than the communists.
We obey.
We are trapped happily.
We are prisoners by choice.
We are the whores,
Raped over and over again by an eager man.
He feeds on our feeble beliefs and our yearning to please him.
He forces us to bleed, openly beating us.
Telling us brutally that we are
Worthless.
We smile and thank him for his kind words.
Worshipping this man almost as much as our G-d,
Who will never let us down.
This man is our democracy.
Our handsome government.
We are the women he views as vile and subordinate.
He knows he has us,
Shackled.
He mocks us.
We smile.
We take our Zoloft
(and no one can forget that lovely little purple pill to
Infuse us with a desire that was once natural to more
Earthly creatures.
This is not us,
Never was,
Never will be).

Wow.
Anyone who participated today, you absolutely rock!
You were beautiful. The sight of you took my breath away.
It was such a powerful message that we conveyed.
It's starting.
We're finally waking up.
We can't keep turning the mute button on the real world anymore.
Please, turn off your televisions and turn up the volume on "reality".
I nearly died just now. After what happened today, I saw this amazing Eminem video. I gained so much respect for this man in the few minutes he managed to convey so many of the thoughts that were bombarding my head this morning within this astounding, remarkable, astonishing music video. It's called "Mosh", random part of the lyrics:
